It took Dee a few tries to get to the globe shaped wonder you see in the photos below. The biggest challenge? She was as much trying to capture the essence of the standout painting from her kid brother's Heavenly Bodies art series as she was the actual planet.
The cookie that finally made it from the drawing board to the bakery box is actually two doughs, swirled with painstaking precision to get the vibe of water, waves, clouds, fertile soil and green land doing the dance that our home planet does daily to keep us alive. The first dough is organic matcha and ground pistachios with a generous pour of high quality vanilla. The result is something with a flavor akin to pistachio ice cream. The second dough is colored by land and by sea with ground dried blueberries, blue spirulina powder, and water from steeped butterfly pea flowers. The dough is flecked with finely ground white chocolate and pistachio nuts, giving the full cookie the cohesion needed for its flavor to match its beauty.
